LIST OF BUGS IN 1.20 - NO DISCUSSION PLEASE !

Alex need our help. For the next patch we should collect the known bugs in Version 1.20.

Alex should have this list already via PM but i post it here again for completion sake:
1) Advanced Options and 1.20 rule set not working under the DLC's. I personally suspect the same will be true for any user made campaigns as they are starting the same way. See following threads for details: 2) Overly Generous Heroes Assignment during the DLC missions. Possibly somehow related with the first bug tho it seems to be only happening under very special conditions. I managed only to recreate the behavior once out of multiple tries but i can definitively confirm what the user wrote. See following threads for details: 3) Reform unit option(cheat) causing weired behavior in combination with captured V-weapons. They appear at zero strength in the reserve list but at least can't be reformed. See following threads for details: 4) PC intro bug. If PzC is terminated with the AK campaign, plays the Main-intro and displayed the AK start screen, when PzC is restartet. The AK intro is not played. Only a minor bug but the solution seems easy, Soldberg already posted one in the thread where he reported it. See following threads for details: 5) A problem with the Brevity scenario in Afrika Corps and appearantly a non victory hex being displayed with the victory hex border confusing people about the exact victory conditions. See following threads for details: 6) UI skin change when starting DLC's bug. The UI doesn't automatically change to german when starting the DLC campaigns. While easy to circumvent it would be nice to automate and maybe even allow modders to set which UI they want to use for their mods. With "reform units" enabled, when the player disbands a unit destroyed in the previous scenario, he is awarded prestige equal to the cost of the unit. I assume this is not by design. In keeping with the spirit of "reform units," the unit should simply disappear, with no prestige awarded.

Dunno if it's a bug, but I also wanted to mention again that all the Allied Corps units seem to have no land transport traits in that column. The game probably interprets the equipment file differently here, but it would be a lot easier to understand the file if usable land transport columns were filled for these units just like every other unit.

Not sure if this counts as a bug since it is only affecting modded equipment:
When upgrading units that share an upgrade family, but have different maxstrength stats the upgraded unit seems to inherit the maxstrength from the older unit.
Example: Soviet Conscript str 15 gets upgraded to other str 15 infantry that is supposed to stay at 10 when both are in the same upgrade family. Entering a different maxstrength values for both units does not seem to have an effect (normally, standard size 10 units have no maxstr entry)
This does not occur in a vanilla game since conscripts do not share upgrade families with other inf, but I'm wondering if the effect is intendet.

Yes, it is intended. And as you mentioned it does not happen in the stock game since they are not in the same class.

A long time (since 1.0) bug: AI units can ambush themselves! My units are in his LOS still it stumbles into my units. It happens with air ("unexpected encounter") and ground units too.
Nobody else has this issue or only I find it annoying and unfair for the AI?

The player never gets a message when files are manually saved with a file name that contains special characters that are not allowed to be used in Windows file names ( \ / : * ? " < > | ) and the file is not saved without the player knowing this.

I can produce the bug pretty consistently by taking a campaign started before 1.20 patch and at a scenario transition requesting a rules change from 1.2 to classic. Then I start ascseniario and basically every hit causes a hero.
I have not tested whether it is import to have had a campaign from before the patch. The one thing I am confident is that a key element is changing the rules via the difficulty button in between scenarios in a panzer corps dlc (1942 in my case)

This is a very interesting observation that may help to nail that error down. There's your problem right there.
1.2 is not compatible for DLC's.

From my experience this is not true. The 1.20 rules are not working with the DLC's at the moment but they certainly should not cause the "hero awarding"-bug. This is possibly somehow related to the problem but alone the fact that it requires certain order of events to trigger it in the first place makes it worth investigating.Razz1 wrote: There's your problem right there.

Not really a BUG, but should we start a topic over some of the units and the stats in Allied Corp? See more than enough posts in other topics over questions on this, few off the top of my head are the P51, P47, M10, 25lbs artillery. Just wondering
