Salvo infantry

Post by jstone6487 »

If a salvo firing unit is already engaged frontally and it is attacked on a flank where it only has one base during a subsequent impetus phase does it still receive the additional advantages for being salvo infantry?

Two possible answers:-

1. If the flank base is attacked frontally as an overlap base then yes it does still fight with it's ++ POA

2. If it is attacked in the flank as a valid flank charge, then as with all flank charges it fights at a --POA (as do all bases attacked in the flank) & does not get the salvo POA. (p.78 bullet point 4)

Hope that helps
