1.20 Equipment question
How come the British infantry has no usable transports? Is my equipment file broken or is the game handling that differently in Allied Corps?
Re: 1.20 Equipment question
This was mentioned several times in beta.
So I believe it is by design that you can not use a transport for paratroops.

Re: 1.20 Equipment question
It's not just the paratroops. Unless I'm reading the equipment file wong, NO British infantry unit has any entries in the "usable transports" column... neither does the US infantry. So how does the ruleset work for them? Can they always just use anything? or how does that work?
So far I was under the impression that for a unit to be able to use a land transport that transport type needs to be listed in the "usable transports" column

Re: 1.20 Equipment question
Since there is nothing listed they use all available land transport.

I see, I didn't know that rule. Good to know, need to update my tool then.

Re: 1.20 Equipment question
Wait... I still don't quite get this... so there's no entry in the usable transports so the unit gets all transports?? What about tanks then? Why do they not get everything then? And what about TDs, how does the game differentiate them when it comes to self propelled vs towed without any entry?
This rule is a bit confusing... does that only count for infantry? Or is it bound to the base unit's movement type? or how does this work?
I'd like an answer by someone who knows 100% how this is implemented pls, otherwise I cannot copy that behavior for my tool and the players won't be able to use it to track Allied Corps units.
I still don't get why the Allied Corps units changed this around? I though the "usable transports" entry was meant for this, why add an additional rule that makes it harder to understand the equipment file?

Re: 1.20 Equipment question
Okay, I'm sorry. I meant to say that column should be populated with the word land. Then those units can use any transport.
Allied Corps is different because it is a different game. This was mentioned quite a few times and I assume it is by design.
However, I agree that all the British troops should have "land". There is a patch coming out so I will see if we can address this issue and set all Allied units to land.
