I picked up twenty 15mm Knights on E-Bay that look to be from about the Agincourt era.
They've painted up real nice (by my standards) and I would like to use them some time but have little interest in or knowledge of the 100YW.
What other armies from any list would they slot into? (I like to keep things accurate if possible so I don't mean things like Wars of the Roses!)
Can you suggest a Late Medieval Army for my Knights?

Without a photo of the figs its hard to give an exact response, however, western European knights are pretty generic, unless you have them painted with specific heraldry for a particular region. Still, armor styles were pretty similar from the Germanies to Iberia and from the Italian boot to Scandinavia. Mercenaries from all over Europe could be found in any army of the period. French knights fighting in the armies of the Habsburgs, German knights fighting on both sides of the 100YW and in Italy, etc. So pick an army you want to field and get the supporting foot and Go!!!!

It depends on the type of figure. If they are essentially just tin cans then you can use them in a wide geography. If they have a lot of heraldry they'll be more specific (English use more red and gold. French more blue and more fleur-de-lys).
After that it depends how picky you are. Armour evolved quite rapidly, so 50 years would see quite a difference for new armour, but it was expensive so not ewveryone had new armour.
I know people who'll use the same set of knights to depect anything from 1300-1500 anywhere in Europe. They use fairly generic figures with generic heraldry. I really have no problem with that within reason, and I happily use knights a bit out of period/country.
On the other hand I've also got troops painted up as the Cologne and allied forces from the battle of Worringen in 1288, which has heraldry which is very much German and I tend to only use them as Germans from that period.
Might be an idea to post a picture and see if people can identify what the figures are depicted as?

Because the rules they play do. That said, I was happily using 15th century knights to depict 1515 Milanese gendarmes last yearkevinj wrote:Why stop at 1500?I know people who'll use the same set of knights to depect anything from 1300-1500 anywhere in Europe

Re: Can you suggest a Late Medieval Army for my Knights?
They are fairly generic.
Mostly dog-faced, say 75% encased in plate. Cloth caparisons with metal neck and head pieces for the horses. I have a notion that French Knights were bulkier and more elaborate than their English cousins? If so these would be more English looking.
I have given them all the same colours so was thinking a specialist band of freelance Knights along the lines of the Templars or Outremer but don't know if any such were still around in the 1400s.
What date do the Crusader lists go up to?
Thanks

Gonna go for 100YW English and use them as Gascon Knights.
