The C-in-Cs Inch

Post by AlbionOak »

Been giving a bit of thought to fact that the C-in-C has no more authority than any other general.
How about this, the C-in-C can, once in a game ,add an extra MU To a BG or BL. Any troops, in any terrain.
This represents his realising a situation is critical and urging the troops on.
I realise it is late in the day for any rule additions and it may be a bad idea anyway!

Hi Albion I disagree that the C-in-C should have more authority in the game. Remember that you are acting out as the C-in-C so you have to get your deployment and battle plan right. Also there is some instances that the C-in-C is not as good as a commander as his subordinates, think the rules work well that you got the option to chose what quality of generals you want to pay for.I also think that if you do give the C-in-C more scope you have to also make provisions if you lose him as well.

I think one use effects can cause problems - what happens when some one forgets they have used it?.

A better effect is to increase the command range, and the death range, by 1 MU.
