So far (to end of 1940):

Infantry in fortifications is much tougher, artillery is much less effective against them. Better balance IMO, more "realistic." In general, I think I will like any changes that make infantry more effective, both for gameplay and historical reasons.

Replacements arrive suppressed. Makes much more sense.

Still too early to judge changes in prestige engine or rail movement or experience.

Wait till you're on the other side of that 88mm.

As the British you don't get anything that can stand up to a Tiger until the Comet. Fireflies can dish, but can't take. Churchills are the opposite. The Americans are even worse off until they get Pershings, although their tank destroyers somewhat compensate for this disadvantage.

Having to use a combined arms approach to preserve your corps makes the game more rewarding IMO. Gone are the days where you could simply advance a single tank unit without fear of repercussion. Just try it with a Sherman :)

The sherman was a pretty good tank against infantry, just like the early PzIV was. The Americans had simply slept when the Panther came out (thinking it was also just a heavy tank for the Heavy Bataillons, missing that is was planned as the main tank for the panzer divisions). So while they had been able to figh the limited numbers of Tigers in Africa, hence thought it wasnt that big of a problem, they ran into a big surprise in France. problem with the American doctrine of only asking for new equipment when necessary instead of planning ahead for future threats. The russians did a better job at that, having the T34 available long before it was really needed.
