Michele has a problem

Hi, my name is michele and i have a problem with great battles of Rome.
I can see the introduction but when it finishes the game crashes with the message
AppName: thcgbor.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: thcgbor.exe
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0005e517
I read the help file,readme.txt, so i tried to stop the sound putting in the file user.txt in the dir data the row
'NoSound 1'
but it doesn't work and the sound is on.
Can you help me?

I'm just checking that the line is

NOSOUND 1

without and quote marks etc?

Can you be more specific about when it crashes, whether it gets into the game at all, etc.

We also need to know more about your version of the game, and your computer setup.
