The Norman dawn in southern Italy: William "Iron Arm" d'Hauteville against Emperor William IV, called the Paphlagonian. D'Hauteville and his brothers, along with Ranulf Drengot revive a long-defeated rebellion to challenge Byzantine supremacy in southern Italy. After a Norman victory earlier that same year, the Normans and their allies and mercenaries confront the Byzantine catepan in Montemaggiore in southeast Italy, on 4 May 1041 AD.
I found 'new' sources for this battle and more detailed descriptions. The update involves a fairly extensive redesign.
