Re: How do i save and post screenshots?
Sorry I am having a VERY bad "IT" day, can anyone give me an "idiots" guide to save and post some game shots. I am not usually Thick or computer stupid, but I have lost the plot on this. Brenmusik has tried but I cannot even find the screen he has shown, I know that I found a screen that gave me more options but now I have lost that, I feel old age coming on ! I know I am the Daft one here an seek your indulgence on this trivial matter, but it is driving me MAD !!!!!!! Thank you in the hope of saving my sanity..
Re: How do i save and post screenshots?
Hi,
To save (supposing you are using Windows).
1/ In the Allied Corps game, press your keyboard key labelled PrintScreen, or something equivalent, this key is often found at the end of the function keys row close to the Suppresion key. Once you press this key, the screen bitmap image is copied to the clipboard. The clipboard is a system device acting as a buffer between various applications.
2/ Load you paint program and open a blank page. the Press CTRL V, to paste the image from the clipboard to your paint program. Now save( or export) this picture to your hard disk, either as .png or .jpg, make sure your file is not bigger as 256 Ko.
3/ Login to the Slitherine Forum, select New Post, below the edit window, you should see two tabs, one labelled Options, and the secons one labelled Upload Attachment, select the Upload Attachment tab.
4/ under filemane, click on Browsee, and find the picture file on your hard disk. Then click Add the file. After a little while your file should now be uploaded.
5/ click with the mouse cursor where you want to place you image in your text. Then select place inline, something like this should now appear where the text cursor was :
[url=http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/26 ... ssion.jpg/]
Be careful when you have upoladed several images for the same post, to inline the corect one.
Click Preview to verify that the image appear as you want.

BTW,
What is the biggest size image than can be displayed, without the need of an image specific scrollbar?
Is there an Html tag, or something, like small, medium or large, for image size?

Re: How do i save and post screenshots?

Re: How do i save and post screenshots?
Note that you can only join 3 attachments per post.
So if your intention is to upload many images, you should rather use the Img button Then paste the URL of your image between the (img) and (/img) html tags.
You might need to first upload your images to an internet repository service, which will provide you with a way to make a link to to your images.
User monkspider suggested Imageshack, myself I used PostImage.

For taking screenshots, I use GreenShot, you can find it on CNET.com and it's free.
