Bronze Age

Post by Demetrios »

A question to the game designers:

any chance for "Swifter than Eagles" to be published in the future.

I really miss a tactical MP bronze age title.

It is entirely possible that many of the armies from Swifter than Eagles will appear in a later expansion. This partly depends on potential demand, however, so if others are interested it is probably worth speaking up.

Thanks for your reply, it´s much appreciated !

Encouraging news, hope many others will show interest.

Bronze Age, Feudal Japan, China-age of the quarreling states etc. are much underrated by game designers in my opinion.

Thanks again for your quick reply.

Regards

I think there are a lot of us on here who will buy every expansion in order to support the overall development of FOG.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. (Caveat: Unless there will be a veritable bonanza of expansions. )

Just started playing the GMT boardgame -Chariots of fire- Really interesting background information on Bronze Age warfare.

Didn´t know they had such a wide variety of chariots for shock attacks and ranged fire.

Very unique tactics too, like Runner infantry to protect chariots..etc..

Can´t wait for a digital version.

Bronze Age is my favourite era too, and I don't know of any game that has done it properly on the digital format. Chariots is what I want, more and more of them. To the point where they're coming out of my ears, with a dozen different types of them. Myceneans, Hittites, Rigvedic Indians, Shang dynasty, so many great armies to choose from, each with their own styles of chariots.

Obviously, for the general public the Bronze Age isn't as big a draw as the Medieval or Clssical eras, but as there is a vast lack of Bronze Age wargames, it might draw new people to the game, so it'd be worth considering in the very least.

I beleive if you make it, they will buy! I really am not particulalry drawn to biblical armies but I will snag it if sold. I would really like to see the Asian army Lists come out though (Dragon something or other?)

Put me down for Swifter than Eagles and Empires of the Dragon. One advantage of these expansions is a chance to play armies that you normally don't see on the table top without having to make the investment in the figures and painting necessary to do so.

Assume FoG is the only engine that really could simulate Bronze Age warfare.

This era was dominated by fire and run tactics as well as pass through attacks
