My thinking trough playing with 1.02, what to do...

Post by alaric318 »

greetings, with some games now i think it is a great game, the most pleased for me and better feature is that aside increased number of units the computer opponent turns are fast and this decreased the required time to complete a play, i usually play a mod and on it have much more resources so leading to massive armies for all major powers, it is a variant of my "test of arms" mod that is make public, in resume i have make cities of major powers two or three hexes from one hex at default, so making double to triple production, manpower increased to no make problems in very early play stages, but i want to share what i think will make a more balanced game and general ideas that i have, so here i go...

1... naval loop from kiel to wilhemshaven, not sure how it works and if it is easy or difficult to make it from the scenario editor but will be good to have from the default game a loop here, bad side maybe is the fact that maybe the allies too will be allowed to use it

2... increase on max number allowed of labs, in proportion for all major powers, explanation is that this will give on middle and late stages more research advantage to allies, say, as an example that axis have 2 labs and allies 1 lab, a main increase of one lab for both sides will efectively reduce the main proportion, from 2-1 to 3-2, at 1.5-1, i am going to make some increase on my mod, not sure however what increase will be perfect for the default game.

3... it is to my oppinion that will be a very good thing to have two main "computer opponent recruit scripts", if possible at all, one for oil rules on and another with oil rules off, maybe with oil rules off can be increased the number of "oil units" that the computer opponent will recruit, some 2-1 or 3-1 against a game with oil rules on,

it is a great game, for the scope and number of units it is very fast to resolve a play, it is the better thing, too moddable and configurable technology and the war effort system and manpower restriction to reflect the payload of long term war on the drain to people and nations involved,

keep up the good work!,

with best regards,

alaric.
