Surrendered Units = Captured units?

This really applies to all the Panzer Corps family.

Why, when a unit surrenders, does it not become a captured unit?

It would not work quite the same way with infantry, of course

With infantry, it could result in a resupply of the attacking unit.

Aircraft on an airfield hex when it is captured could arguably become a captured unit too.

This would be way to abusable. Forcing units to surrender to capture them and then disband them for prestige or build a foreign only core ... no i don't think this idea is a good one.

It depends how it would be implemented.

It is an anomaly that forcing a unit to surrender does not at least resupply the attacking unit, if not re-equip it.

Perhaps have the option to upgrade the attacking unit to a captured version of the surrendered unit?
