Beta 3 UI colour
Looks good, white star is a nice touch.
Re: Beta 3 UI colour
However, when you switch back to Panzer Korps, the UI should revert.
There is no such thing as "overkill". There is only "keep firing" and "time to reload".
Re: Beta 3 UI colour
Gives a different feel from PC, very nice and easy on the eyes.
Re: Beta 3 UI colour
I personally think the colors in the new UI kind of lack contrast compared to the old one. This light green/dark green blends a bit to much into each other imho.

Re: Beta 3 UI colour
I like the colour, but feel the artwork looks a little unfinished.
The M1911 pistol looks a little 'in development' as does the Eagle crest on the side menu.

I liked the UI color, didn't notice the pistol but did notice the Eagle crest..kind of odd looking.
You could just go for a more RAF style wings that would be OK with the Allied American Star in the center.

UI: A more massive head for the bald eagle?
I suggest a picture search for "US eagle head".
It's quite a massive head with a huge beak. The feathers are often portrayed when stylized almost like scales.
Currently the eagle head for the allied UI is rather small which gives it a vulture-look. The feathers and everything else are nicely done.

The pistol is on the 'Triumph' splash screen.

Re: Beta 3 UI colour
The new UI looks nice, but the color looks a bit too grey. I think more of a green color would be appropriate for the Allies.
Re: Beta 3 UI colour
Yes, it's a dirty green/gray, could be more olive green.monkspider wrote:The new UI looks nice, but the color looks a bit too grey. I think more of a green color would be appropriate for the Allies.
Re: Beta 3 UI colour
The new interface looks very good, but the background color on which the experience stars of the units are to see is a little too bright.

Good idea!praetorreich36 wrote:You could just go for a more RAF style wings that would be OK with the Allied American Star in the center.
Would also have a darker background for the "stars" of the unit during deployment, yellow on white/silver is not so visible as the usual yellow/gold on red. How about a dark olive instead of white/silver.

I generally agree with all the statements above, however something seems off on the Right side menu.Tarrak wrote:I personally think the colors in the new UI kind of lack contrast compared to the old one. This light green/dark green blends a bit to much into each other imho.
1) Use an American Eagle, not that ugly thing. Look at any one dollar bill. Or, since most of the game appears to be British, switch the Eagle to something appropriate for the British.
2) For contrast on the right menu, look at the attached where I have added a highlight to the Gold bars and hour Glass. Doing that in Gold trim may be a good idea.
3) For the opening menu, it is hard when the screen is all Green. How about adding an explosion in the background? A plum of smoke using your fantastic light Grey and Black. Also, a burning tank with Red Orange and a little yellow will add contrast.

I'd suggest a Crown or Lion, something that symbolizes the British Empire.

Re: Beta 3 UI colour
I fully agree with Razz1 with his suggestions. Also praetorreich36 has appoint to use a crown or lion for the Brits...just makes sense.
Re: Beta 3 UI colour
I've noticed this as well... The experience stars have six 'stages' (0 to 5), and stage 3 and 4 (>60 exp and >80 exp) are hard to distinguish, because their background/border is much brighter. I sometimes clicked in vain on 'elite reinforce' because I thought the last star was full as well. The axis UI has a darker shade, so they stand out a bit better.maho1973 wrote:The new interface looks very good, but the background color on which the experience stars of the units are to see is a little too bright.
Re: Beta 3 UI colour
Really it is very hard to distinguish does unit has full or partial star of experience when giving them overstrength in reserve list.

Agree withn the previous 2 posts.
More contrast is needed.

Re: Beta 3 UI colour
Noticed something else. On the strategic map, the Allied icons are green, the Axis are grey. But if you have moved an Allied unit and it has no more actions remaining, the icon on the strategic map turns grey, it looks like it's the icon for when an Axis unit has spent all his actions?
