I cannot for the life of me figure out how to move a BG fwrd a few hexes( with NO facing changes) and then change facing
The second the BG reaches its destination it immedietly "darkens out" and nothing more can be done....
If this is not a bug but some byzantine method of multiple hotkeys/rmb's etc is needed to accomplish such a basic task, please change it!

This is not a bug. And there's no "byzantine" abstract method to accomplish small tasks as that one.. I'm not trying to torment anyone.
What happens is that I was asked to darken out BG's which can not do a significant action like moving or shooting at the end of a movement action, which seems reasonable, as most battleline units moving forward at maximum range are never turned after that. You are still able to select and turn the ones able to do a rotation in the simple normal rotation way (select BG + RMB + rotate + RMB if rotation is set on unsticky (defaul); or select BG + hold RMB and drag + release RMB for sticky rotation setting).
So:
- moved units not able to perform any kind of action are completely darken out (both the unit's figures and the non-directional (unselectable) base (a simple circle not pointing any direction)
- moved units which can not move or shoot anymore, but they can rotate have their figures darken out, but their base still has the normal green (selectable) directional base (the base circle also pointing the direction). They can be selected and rotated still.
- units still able to move/shoot/rotate are displayed with normal figures colors and with normal green (selectable) directional base (the base circle also pointing the direction)
- the currently selected unit is displayed with normal figures colors and with light green (selected) directional base (the base circle also pointing the direction)
Maybe your unit was not able to turn after a movement anymore, as it wasn't light or drilled?

solved, just a dexterity thing on my end (it is fiddly though and i find it very easy to have your unit spin to the wrong facing
BTW Cothyso, a drilled or unrilled formed BG CAN move fwrd w no hex changes AND the change facing to any direction per FOG VB

As you can see, it wasn't changed at all. I don't know from where have you got the idea it might have been changed..
