cohesion tests

i understand that if a BG is broken BGs with in a distance of 3MU have to take a test but is this the chase if the BG passes with in 3MU of a BG behind it

The test is only taken by BGs within 3MU of the the broken BG at the time it breaks, not by any that it passes after that.

I don't really understand the question but for clarrity, there IS the potential for a chain reaction. A BG who routs because he saw another BG rout will cause a second test to all within 3MU of it. It usually doesn't happen, but can.

The rules determing when it is necessary to take a Cohesion Test can be found by referring to the index at the back of the rules, and using that to refer to the pages covering "Cohesion Tests".
