Gday Dan
Is there anyway of seeing the map in multiplayer rather than just map numbers? When i have initiative all i se are map numbers and dimensions so have no idea what im picking.
Cheers Turk

Re: Map selection
that's silly...what's the point of initiative then...and it being completely 'dice' means armies can end up in silly situations, like pikes in swamp and forests.
one player at least needs to be able to choose the ground to at least some degree
the system as it is is not acceptable to most players i would wager
when i opened the game and saw swamps and forests clumped everywhere with a stream across my entire frontage and tiny little open gaps, it meant the game was a waste of time having picked a pike army...

Re: Map selection
and in case you were wandering, I was just joking. we'll definitely need a way to figure out what kind of map we're going to use (either displaying a picture of it, or by displaying its properties (river, woods, hills, etc)), but we don't have time for that right now.
PS: (later edit) of course mate, it would be silly to just blindly pick a map. read what I've wrote above (I was typing this exactly while you were responding to my previous post)
