Nice one Tim - entry in!

Now just got to come up with a suitable whacky army!! Henry was a bit pedestrian last year so will be looking for something new! Done Samurai, moghals, Mamluks and Hawaiians but got no time to do a Chinese so need to think of something.

Hmmm - time to put the thinking cap on!

Don

Sounds like something on camels and foot with bows might be the answer to Mr H's plan... Wacky enough for you?

Loads of blokes with bows stood behind a really big wall I reckon.

And this time they won't come out

Twelve signed up so far, shaping up to be a spectacular pikefest!

BTW Tim, Ruslan International! What's that about?

Can we expect special prizes for best performing Soviets in the FoW Great Patriotic War period?

Roll Call is just over 3 weeks away. Thanks to those who have already sent me their lists (and in some cases lists for others!). There's still time to enter but a number of periods are close to being full.

Sounds a good idea

but also trying to work out what won't be there so I have something unique which probably rules out tatars and if Richards going Sudanese as well, oh and definitely ottomans as well, so really down to 3 choices

cheers

Go Early Poles - the front rank heavy lance and rear rank Xbow horse BG's will shock a few - seems your sort of cavalry army; manoeuvrable, got an impact capability against all other cav it will fight in period plus can shoot with both xbow bases as they count as 1st shooting rank - go on - u know you want to!!!

After a short and painful period of experimentation at the club last night, I can confirm that I will categorically not be using a spear and pike-rich Peasant Revolt Army.

Discovering that 12-strong units are highly vulnerable to autobreaking from artillery shooting, and can easily find themselves 2 POA's down in combat as well is not that pleasant.

With a few days to go I have 9 lists so far, 7 to go unless we have a flurry of last minute entrants.

Also 9 different armies, keep it up guys!
