Commander Grand Strategy Mac issue

Hi! I have purchased Commander Europe at War (v. 1.6) from MacGameStore and downloaded the Grand Strategy update from Slitherine, though it doesnt detect my core game and informs me I cant run the add-on. Is there a way to update my core game so that it will detect and allow the add-on to start?

I don't know to be honest - the Mac App store and version they sell is nothing to do with us. It was Freeverse who developed it and they no longer exist so I don't know what the situation is.

Hi what version of CEAW-GS? Does your CEAW have a valid license and have you at least launched CEAW and play a game for a few turns?

I have CEAW-GS 2.10 and CEAW has a valid license, sent by Mac games store. When I launch GS it informs me, that I do not have licensed GS installed, so it seems the Freeverse version of the game is the problem :/ I have played CEAW quite a lot and it runs without problems.

I have had this same problem for a long time with no resolution. My licensed Mac CEAW (bought from Freeverse) worked fine on my desktop iMac. The 2.10 expansion was never recognized as valid by the original install on my desktop iMac. Nothing I did helped; frequent re-installs, HD searches for hidden files, etc. Not even contacting Freeverse before it folded helped. So I gave up. I ended up re-installing CEAW on my MacBook Pro with the 2.10 expansion and it worked fine. So I use CEAW on my laptop. I'd rather use it on my iMac but I guess that is not to be unless someone can come up with a solution. I'd even buy the original again if I knew it would work.
