after checking for updates cannot start game

I just downloaded and updated to 2.07. When I try to start game I get the checking for updates, after the only options I have are unlock expansions and cancel. How to I start game?

You should be able to hit Enter to get past that screen. The OK button is missing if you are using large fonts. The rest of the game will display normally.
