Download community scenarios

Post by enric »

The list show some scenarios that are no longer available, you get an error trying to download them, but these rows can't be deleted. And if you're trying to download a new version with the same folder name you cannot know which is one or the other.

I'm not sure what you mean? If you have an LST file and you then add another version with the same name and same folder then you are definitely going to have problems. I would recommend always using a new foldername with a version tag to allow anyone (and the game) to distinguish between them.

I have to confess I am not quite clear on the issue and how you replicate it.

Cheers

Hey Enric/Pip,

I think I may be suffering the same problem.

Sometimes when I download a user-gen campaign, it leaves a "ghost" of the download details in a darker yellow coloured text in the download menu (there are two at the end of the menu screenshot below). These "ghosts" don't disappear and I haven't figured out a way to delete them. I suspect there's a way to do it, but I just haven't figured it out. How can we delete 'em from the user content downloads list?

Thanks guys...

Even if you use a different file name, I way for maintenance of the list should be provided.
We all make errors, and it should be a way to deal with them.

Another list that need maintenance is the MP Challenge list, where you can found opened games many months ago (30-50 and growing) still waiting for someone to accept them, the first one is opened in August. Yes, here, who opened the challenge can kill it, but if he/she do not do it, the game should not stay here forever.

You are correct that games that old should be being culled. I think someone mentioned it a while back and I did bring it up, but it might have not gotten done yet. I will chase it up.

BUMP...

Any update on this? It is also happening in BA2 so if the fix could be ported over...that would be great.

You need to delete the cached LST files in your SAVES folder (if the old versions still being listed is the issue you mean?).
