Problems after installing Afrika Korps

Hi again.

Just purchased the Afrika Korps add on and something strange is happening. My original Panzer Corps is the latest version with patch 1.11 installed and after I installed and run Afrika Korps all I get is a blank screen with the menu on the right. There was another poster here who mentioned a similar problem so I read on that thread that I should reinstall the patch(1.11) and was able to play again. However, now I can't find the launch short cut for Afrika Korps!

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Also, will Africa campaigns be built in to the original Panzer Corps or do I have to quit that game and launch the Afrika Korps to play?

Please download again the last patch (1.11) from one of these mirrors:

http://www.matrixgames.com/products/399/downloads/

Unzip the downloaded file. Then run the extracted file to update the game again.

If this doesn't fix your issue, please report back and tell us if you've any DLC installed.


If Panzer Corps is installed in your system, than Afrika Korps will be installed as an expansion. You'll have access to Afrika's campaign by pressing the palm tree on the left side of the campaign menu.

Yes I've done that from the mirror site. As I've said the shortcut to start the Afrika Korps is gone and the original Panzer Corps shortcut is there instead. So all I can do now is play the original Panzer Corps. I've even tried reinstalling Afrika Korps and all that does is to freeze the screen again as per my first comment on this thread. So I've reinstall the patch again and now there's no way to start the Afrika Korps!

Then uninstall all DLC (in case you've any), Afrika Korps and Panzer Corps. Check the folder where you've installed Panzer and Afrika Korps, and delete any file that might be still there.
Install Panzer Corps, then Afrika and finally 1.11.

I purchased the original Panzercorp about a month ago along with the 39' grand campaign. Today I purchased Afrika Corps and Allied Corps and everything is weird. I now have 3 icons on my desktop, 1 star shaped icon that loads Allied Corps, 1 Iron Cross that upon clicking shows a prompt to load Afrika Corps but loads Allied Corps, and the third I assume is my original icon, and that now only plays Allied Corps as well ... Ive lost my games somewhere please help me !!!
