Ratio of battleships in 1914+ Turkish fleet
Would also like to bring the ratio of battleships in 1914 : Best ratio in the game:
England 20 dreadnought+ 9 battle cruiser+ 45 old battleship=74 pcs 5 battleships
Germany 15 dreadnought+ 4 battle cruiser+ 22 old battleship=41 pcs 3 battleships
France 3 dreadnought + 20 old battleship=23 pcs 2 battleships
Italy 6 dreadnought + 11 old battleship=17 pcs 1 battleship
Austria-Hungary 4 dreadnought+9 old battleship=13 pcs 1 battleship
Russia 4 dreadnought+9 old battleship=13 pcs 1 battleship
Please think the same way of the Turkish fleet-Turkish fleet was certainly not less than the Danish. The Danish cruiser presented!
1914 Turkish fleet list: http://www.turkeyswar.com/navy.html
Probably it is good idea to make Turkish cruiser unit aswell?

Re: Ratio of battleships in 1914+ Turkish fleet
The reason why the Danish cruiser was added is to block the access of British surface units to the Baltic Sea.
As for the ratio of Battleships, I agree that it should be done, but it could be done, for instance, by using 1 strength point per dreadnought, for instance. Predreadnoughts and Battlecruisers could be either a lower tech battlesip, or if too complicated 0.5 Strength points.
BTW Where did you get that list? some numbers doesn´t correspond to my sources

Re: Ratio of battleships in 1914+ Turkish fleet
I think so but it has to be inferior to the Russian "cruiser" unit there. Russia had this in Black Sea in 1914 . . .Hott wrote: Probably it is good idea to make Turkish cruiser unit ?
five pre-dreadnought battleships
(two dreadnoughts completed in 1915)
two light cruisers
destroyers, torpedo boats and submarines
While Turkey had this . . .
two pre-dreadnought battleships
1 coastal defence ship
2 protected cruisers
8 destroyers
So the trick would be to have the Turkish cruiser able to go 50/50 with the Russian "cruiser" when it was in its own green dot zone, but being totally outclassed in open waters, I think.

I took the numbers here: http://topwar.ru/10700-vmf-veduschih-de ... voyny.html
PS : But the site is in Russian. If there is in English, I would appreciate if you send it.
Re: Ratio of battleships in 1914+ Turkish fleet
That is odd, because the numbers for Russian dreadnoughts are completely wrong. Russia started WW1 without a single Dreadnought, although 7 were under construction and they were all completed before the war ended for Russia.Hott wrote:

BTW I am not sure if the game can handle something like that, units to be delivered at a given turn, maybe by event?

I would add built dreadnoughts, as implemented in the commander europe at war.Aryaman wrote:That is odd, because the numbers for Russian dreadnoughts are completely wrong. Possible solution. But the fleet Turkey needs in any case.
As well as increasing the number of battleships in England and Germany.

Re: Ratio of battleships in 1914+ Turkish fleet
If you look at this link for the Gangut class of ships which were the first dreadnoughts that Russia built for their Baltic fleet . . .Aryaman wrote:That is odd, because the numbers for Russian dreadnoughts are completely wrong. . . . half way down you can see the 4 ships of this class listed. It says they were all "launched" in 1911 but not "commissioned" until either 1914 or 1915. So what was happening in the time between the "launch" and the "commission"? Would it be things like sea trials and training the crew? Or would parts of the superstructure still to be built once the ship had been launched? I think this time-lag might account for some of the discrepancies we find about the number of capital ships each navy had. Strictly speaking, you are correct to say that when the war started in the summer of 1914 the Russian navy had no dreadnoughts commissioned at all.
Re: Ratio of battleships in 1914+ Turkish fleet
Yes, that is probably the sourcde of mistake, but of course a ship is not ready for action until commissioned. After launched and before trials, the ship still has to get engineering plant and weaponry, and every compartements inside has to be finished, including the kitchen.
Re: Ratio of battleships in 1914+ Turkish fleet
Are you sure that is possible in CTGW? sure that would be the ideal solutionHott wrote:
