FoG Beta competition in Spain (Jaén, Andalucia), 22/23 Sep.

Post by jlopez »

Jaén FoG Beta competition

When: 22-23 September 2007. Four games with a proper break for lunch in a nearby restaurant (10 euros more or less per meal, special requirements please advise). Finish at 18.30 on Sunday.

Fee: 10 euros.

Requirements: You need to sign the Slitherine NDA to receive your own copy of the rules and army lists.

Army Lists: On top of the army lists available to Beta testers, you may request from the organisers up to 3 of the new lists made available for Britcon. Army lists will have to be sent to the organisers before midnight on 20th September. Any list received after this time will be pinned to a public noticeboard. As not all lists are publicly available please attach a copy of the official army list to your list. Any mistakes found in the army lists during the competition will be resolved at the organiser's discretion.

Points: 800 points.

Points system: As per Britcon.

Loan of Armies: Julian Lopez (and maybe others) will be lending armies to those who don't wish to risk their figures to the vagaries of air transport. Please email him for more information at: j_lopez71@hotmail.com

Friday night: Venue will be available all night for practice games or demonstration games. A quick review of FoG rules will take place on Friday evening and Saturday morning.

Accomodation: Hotel Xauen, 3 stars, in the city centre 200 metres from the venue. (Single room: 30 euros. Double: 48 euros. Triple: 54 euros. Prices to be confirmed.). If you need help making a reservation or would like to stay in a different hotel please contact Juan Miguel Morillas who will do it for you.

You can also stay in Jaén's spectacular mountain-top arab fortress but it's a 20 min taxi ride away from the citycentre: http://www.parador.es/english/paradores ... becera=ing

Getting there: Granada airport is the most convenient one (106km) and transportation to and from the airport can be organised with local players but please check with organisers before you book.

Ryanair: Granada to Liverpool, East Midlands, London Stansted.

Hi James,

Well, you know, the usual: sunny, hot, dry. It would be unbearable without the swimmin pool...

Weather apart, everything is OK except for wargaming. Nearest, proper wargames club is in Barcelona, about 2 hours away. :(

If you want more info about the venue, things to do around there...etc let me know: j_lopez71@hotmail.com

Regards,

Julian
