PBEM game

Post by Plaid »

Hello.
I am veteran CEAW player but totally new to CTGW game. Not beta-tester or something, very limited experience (both AI and PBEM).
Anyone would like to play with me? I don't mind playing any side.
P.S. I don't like this "disband navy on turn 1" strategy and expect same from my opponent.

Would you like to play a "no scrapping units at all" game with me. So damaged units always have to re-built rather than scrapped? I would like to try it out in a game or two. It seems more realistic to me? I don't mind which side I am.

But scrapping some units later in game (when manpower degrades and you can't pay upkeep) is essencial part of gameplay. Without scrapping you will have to launch suicidal attacks to get rid of this units, at it looks even less realistic.

Hmm. I have never got that far in multi-player to know. Very badly damaged units tend to get picked off anyway - there are not many places to hide. A less extreme idea would be to just have a no scrapping of naval units rule. How about that? :D

Thats fine with me.
By the way you don't have to go this far in MP to experience this effect. Just start 1917 scenario as Central Powers. AH will be unable to pay upkeep starting from turn ~2, Germany - from turn ~3.

OK, if you put the challenge on and use the password "plaid" - and you can choose the side you wish to be. I haven't played any of the scenarios yet, just the campaign game - played 4 lost 4.
