Show difficulty level or Does Barbarossa start easy ?

I just started GC41 and wanted to play it on Field Marshall level. Now I am on the Smolensk map and it feels really easy. I mean, really easy. I have about 4.000 Prestige and have upgraded all my units.

Now, either this is intentional, to lure me into false security. Or I have not chosen Field Marshall, but something easier. Does it show somewhere which level I am on ?

It is most unfortunate, that during a campaign there is no chance (afaik) to see, what difficulty level you play on. Players like me, who play several campaigns on several difficulty levels and from time to time load old savegames are in real trouble. I usually put an abbreviation of the difficulty level at the end of the savegame.

But in your case there are two alternatives: First you are an excellent player or second you are playing on an easier level. You gain experience very slowly on Field Marshal (50 % of colonel f. e.). Maybe you might have a look at the experience of your units and how much they have gained during your two scenarios.

It would be a very nice idea for a future patch to include a possibilty to show the difficulty level during a campaign.

It looks like I can answer my question now myself: now at Leningrad the Russians teach me that the difficulty level is high and that Barbarossa started out fairly easy. All my large Prestige reserves are gone by now ...
