Turn 64 CP total victory

Post by kevini1000 »

At the end Britain alone sued for peace just as the invasion was loaded and ready to go. I used subs and other ships to take out the merchant ships. The Zeplins plus bombers elimated British production in their southern cities. A Turkish attack supported by German aircraft and artillery was smashing into the Sini. This myst have caused some mp and national moral problems for the allies. I think I will try to Entre powers vs the hard AI next and no Brit subs in the Baltic.

I'm guesing that their national moral fell to zero. It must have been a combination of everything that happen prior to even setting sail. I was surprised by them sueing for peace. I was fulling expected the need for invading and having capture at least London. I would expect that all of their of allies being knocked out hurt as well. The UK fleet was gone as was the merchant fleet. The strat bombing campaign was quick completely devistating. While the Turks grinded army and manpower down.

I find once France , Italy and Russia Surrender and you capture Egypt, the British surrender pretty quickly with a strategic bombing campaign and navel blockade. What I don't understand is why the Americans want to keep fighting after England surrender....

I didn't make it by turn 64, but I did get total victory when Britain surrendered on turn 105, ironically just as the US finally entered the war.

I did not bother invading. I think I took longer because I had not been able to knock out Egypt.

My mass Zepplin raids destroyed most of British production. I couldn't hit the PP centers in Ireland and Scotland. The rest were zeroed out. I had Austrian Zepplins on the way to Palestine to start working over the Egyptian PP centers.

AI level was balanced.

I did notice that the event that triggered US entry was not the actions of my submarines, but my Austrain battle fleet, which wiped out a British convoy in the Mediterranean. I think the break point for US entry is 20 merchant shipping points. I posted elsewhere that I thought it was 10.

So even a conventional naval blockade of Britain apparently triggers US entry.
