artillery being charged from within 2 MU

In our game today the Frenchies prolonged their guns up to within 2 Mu of a unit of Austrian dragoons. If the Dragoons charged, would the artillery have lost a cohesion for being within 2 MU of a cavalry charge?

Looking in the back of the rules under glossary "Infantry" covers all types foot troops, and artillery is on foot.
We played it that they did not but was just wondering.
