"Hold the Line" Help

I'm having trouble beating "Hold the Line." Any insight you can provide would be appreciated. Currently, I've destroyed the two German advances, but I've lost all my armored vehicles in the process. Reinforcements have yet to arrive.

OK, I finally beat the scenario twice. The key was to follow orders and "Hold the line until reinforcements arrive". I had to be patient and restrain myself from going on the offensive too early; preserving my armoured assets by taking cover around building corners and hedges, poking out to take shots then moving back into cover; and keeping rangers hidden in houses and only attacking tanks when near. As the enemy advanced I would slowly chip away at his units until their pressure weakened. Then, with my reinforcements quickly advance toward the enemy flags.
