M16 AA Incorrect Armour Value?
I've noticed in some of the newer scenarios that M16AAs have better armour than many armoured cars.
My sources say that M16 had the same armour as M3s.

Must be all of those empty shells being placed against the inside of the vehicle!
Have not noticed this. Is it in the custom scenarios built by customers or are you finding it in the Slith. retail product?

I know it's in the custom scenarios. Haven't seen it in the stock standard ones so I'm not sure on that.

Its one of my favorite vehicles. Really kicks out some nice firepower.

Yeah - but it's a bit disconcerting when you park your Puma next door and find that % kill=0...

Good catch Arminius. I was just checking this for a campaign we use it in.Arminius wrote:I've noticed in some of the newer scenarios that M16AAs have better armour than many armoured cars.

Squads.csv has armour for an M16AA as 70 (front), 30 (side), 5 (rear).
Compare that to the regular M3, which it's derived from, at 10 (front), 10 (front), 5 (rear).
Even a Wirbelwind AA, which was properly armoured, is only 40 (front), 20 (side), 20 (rear).
So, M16AA armour does feel a bit toppy...

Re: M16 AA Incorrect Armour Value?
I've "corrected" the M16AA armour values in squads.csv to those of a slightly tougher M3 for our GJS'44 Normandy campaign.
Thanks again for the info Arminius!

Re: M16 AA Incorrect Armour Value?
I've noticed that the value is also incorrect in the original Slitherine scenarios. Perhaps you could pass this info on to whoever looks after those.

Hi Arminius, If you PM Pip, I'm sure that he'll take care of it... But he tends to be a bit omniscient, so I suspect he's "all seeing" and has observed your comment... I wouldn't be surprised if the next iteration has fixed it...Arminius wrote:I've noticed that the value is also incorrect in the original Slitherine scenarios. Re: M16 AA Incorrect Armour Value?
Its fixed - it had 70 frontal armour for some reason... no idea how that happened and nobody noticed till now. Almost as much as a Sherman. Now its down to the same as the other half tracks - 10!
