Overall the rules have a nice look to them and the language in particular is nicely done. They will also look particularly good once pictures are added in.
I will likely try a line by line read through deliberately picking holes, assuming thats desired
Page 7 Battlegroups, it reads "a typical army has 10-15 battlegroups."
Is that intended as a rule or just general background advice? Wondered whether it shouldn't note there that the actual number of battlegroups will be specified in army lists etc?
Page 12 the example armies bit, struck me as slightly strange. Its suseful infoprmation, bit unlike the rest of the information seemed to jar to me. I did wonder whether it wouldn't be better in an appendix? For some reason that section did seem slightly out of order where it was am afraid.
Page 40 Arc of fire for battlewagons. Honestly think this is going to ened a diagram or close up photo? I'm pretty sure i know what is meant but can see this being misunderstood. I assume in efefct one shot can be fired out of the short sides and two out of the long sides, but its open to some dodgy interpretation I reckon?
On page 45 and then page 46 the battle wagon arcs are repeated, not sure its the exact same either?
Page 53 Battle wagons cannot defend fortifications, I assume you mean they don't get a bonus, otherwise can see it argued that they can't even fight back etc?
Page 70 Troops count as defending fortifications if contacted across etc, this contradicts the baove as wagons dont count.
So far those are the only gamesmanship type oppurtunities i could spot, will try looking harder!
If its ever a possibility, it would be especially nice if diagrams could be a photo and diagram combined, Unsure if thats realistic, but say you show the arc of fire for those wagons, a picture with added in arrows for the arcs etc would be very nice.
Cheers
Steve
