Re: naval units repair ?
As far as I know, only tac bombers and destroyers can attack subs, and in both cases the sub has a 50% chance of evasion. I think you can reinforce naval units, but only in small increments, and I can't remember if they have to be in port or not.
Re: naval units repair ?
Naval units can be repaired in any of your ports. As robman said, only incrementally (one strength point at a time I think). It's usually not at all cost or time effective to repair the ships - especially since they aren't "yours" and in your core.
Stukas work great on subs; much more effective than destroyers (no other ships can attack subs; only DDs).

DD's and Sub's I believe repair at +2 strenght points, all others are at one strenght point as Kamerer stated.Kamerer wrote:Naval units can be repaired in any of your ports. morge4 - ah, yes, the light units are 2, I forgot.tankie wrote:Thanks to all who took the time to answer.
tankie - I admit when I first started playing, I mishandled my naval units and tried repairing them. Or I thought that would be helpful for capital ships to later aid in bombardment once the opponent naval threat was eliminated. In fact, it's a waste of prestige and time.
If you are taking losses and feel the need to repair units to return them to combat, then, and I'm not being mean - you are mis-using the naval assets and you can learn to use them better - particularly when coupled with air - to neutralize the enemy and still have units that are helpful for bombardment. If you have not figured it out, strategic air is lethal to naval units, and does not take damage in the process unlike tactical air. The Norway scenarios will make this very clear.
