Borodino 1800mm !!!

Post by Ambiorix »

Hi,

recently returned from a battlefield tour in Russia and made > 1000 photos, enclosed a few photos I want to share of the re-enactment of Borodino 2012 to give an impression;
Don't worry, the staff officers' horse was not really shot down, he merely slipped, nobody got injured (apart from some ego I suppose :twisted:). The re-enactment was in a confined space with 2-3000 actors, the 20-odd guns created a lot of noise and smoke, I can not imagine the confusion and FOG hundreds of guns in the real battle would produce. How can a general have any overview ? I think smoke is underestimated in (any) rules; of course all the dicing results in games could be argued as a result of the battle confusion;
