BG fighting partially in disordering terrain

Hi foggers,

yesterday my BG of armored cavalry was fool enought to go and fight against MF in a Forest. The contact between BG was fully in the forest but one of my 4 bases was not in the forest. We had confusion about how many dice i should have 2 or 3? Forest severly disorder cavalry so i should loose 1 per 2. i Had 3 bases in the forest so i'd loose only one dice? even if the contact of front ranks is fully made in the forest?
Whats your opinion about this?

Disorder and severe disorder effect is by base. So I would say you get 3 dice. You had a base outside and lost 1 per 2 of the three bases inside. If the MF started beating you up you couldn't break off though. And would suffer -1 to cohesion for severe disorder.

i don't get the point about break off restriction

Mounted, except elephants, break off from steady foot. The MF are disordered in the wood (not steady), so the mounted will not break off.
