Small bug with minefields.

Post by AgentTBC »

Sometimes if you move a unit next to a minefield and launch an attack before de-selecting the moved unit the minefield does not appear. If you de-select and re-select the unit the minefield appears properly. I'm not sure what determines if the minefield appears or now if you don't de-select the unit first; it seems like it happens about half the time.

Its seems to be the same like an reconmove. You have to finish the (part of the) move first (for example at an city hex) to capture te city.
The program gives you the chance to undo the move. And it would be wrong to give you informations about hexfields in the fog of war, if you undo the move.

While what you say, fsx, is correct, there is still a bug. I noticed it re-playing Persia yesterday.

Sometimes you can deselect a unit, select another, etc. and still the minefield never shows.

I also had it happen that then (next turn) when I went to move a unit into the incorrectly hidden mine hex, it wouldn't let me move the unit there, but it also took away that unit's movement that turn. It was very odd and there is still some bug with them. It did not play this way in Beta so something happened in the programming very late, in RC2 or such. Mines were continually refined and altered throughout beta, so somewhere some additional problem crept in.
