Extended Lines Shooting: Beyond Close??

I've probably asked this before, but, can extended lines shoot at medium range? If yes, what happens when a small unit in extended line, kinked, shoots when two bases couldn't tagrte enemy?

So, again, even though the extended line is kinked, with two bases blocked by friends, the other two bases (of a small unit) can shoot at full effect at medium range? And yes, the centre point could draw to enemy (friendly blocking bases were just to right of centre.

So could both corners draw a line to the target or did you lose a dice.
