ToN, page 50/51 - old guard div sizes

Post by nigelemsen »

In the imperial guard 1812 list on the old guard lines:
The old guard min for infantry is 4. Max upto 10 bases in various combos.
Also you are allowed to have upto 2 old guard batteries.
Old guard must be in their own division

My question is that infantry divs must have two inf units, how can a min of 4 old guard be correct? Unless:
2x old guard batteries and one old guard infantry unit? Equal the min 3 units for a div

.???

I see no problem under the lists with an 1812 Old Guard division consisting of 2 artillery units and 1 infantry unit.

- fulfills the criteria of at least 3 units for an infantry division. Although, usually, only 1 of these can be artillery, the 1812 Guard list allows 2 to be artillery in this case.

Cheers
