Manstein experience?

Am playing Manstein now. Should units be earning experience this quickly? It is ridiculously fast compared to standard Field Marshall. I am not familiar with it in standard game. Or is it supposed to be more advanced so you can get competitive in a reasonable time frame?

Experience formulas work so that: a) you get exp for each point of killed enemy strength b) you earn more exp for killing more formidable opponent. On Manstein you kill more strength and face more formidable opponents, so naturally exp grows faster. But this should be the case in all campaigns, not just AK.
