Mac: Full-screen and switching to other applications

Post by achilleas »

On a Macbook Air (1.8GHz i7, 4GB), If I am playing the game full-screen (not in a window) then cmd-tab does not do anything. As far as I can see, the only way to do anything else on my machine (such as reading the manual in pdf form) is to quit the game.

Is this true, or am I missing something? Is there some other way to switch away from and back to the game if it is running full-screen?

Hi,

AFAIK and with my own testing the answer is no. If want to switch from the game and such you must play windowed.

OK, I see. Thanks. That's a shame.

Unfortunately, Freeverse dropped the ball on switching out of full screen mode when they did the conversion. Still, the only "problem" I have with windowed mode is that I would like to be able change the size of the window but can't due to the way it's coded. Still, not a deal breaker. for me.
