There is a known issue if you or your opponent cancel the sending of your turn during the force selection phase. A fix has been in approval at Apple for about 10 days now, so should be approved soon one would hope.

OK - but it is possible the other party did. Does this happen on every map and mission, in every game? If not, which maps are you seeing the issue on?

I just had the 'mission objectives complete' end game occur after force selection playing as Axis on Meeting Engagement Redux map. Did not cancel sending turn.
Im on a ipad1. I have a game that appears to be running ok vs leci on the same map (still waiting for his 1st move but i think we are past the force selection stage). I wonder if its a pc vs ipad or mac vs ipad thing as we are both on ipads it appears.
These two games was the first time ive tried this particular redux map. My limited games on other redux maps have not encountered this issue.

Joel I can confirm that I have made my first move and that I am playing on an iPad2 - the redux problem almost appears to be random ie same scenarios work fine......
