Buildings and other questions

Post by Crabbie1 »

Hello I run it to a few teething problems with the game I played tonight with my mate.

First one, if troops are occupying a building can they shoot in the firing phase or defensive? And I believe there is a difference between occupying and defending?

Second one, I intercepted a Cav charge and was with in 2 MUs of my mates line Batt on my way in does his inf get to shoot at my Cav as they pass as all I can find in the rules and have read on here is about the assaulting unit being shoot at?

That's all I can think of for now.

Thanks in advance for your help. :D

Occupying troops cannot shoot in either phase, defending troops can shhot in both. There is a FAQ on buildings available on the Resouces bit of the FoG web page. http://www.fieldofglory.com/fog_nap

Only the non-active player can shoot in the assault phase and only assaulting units can be targets. The infantry cannot therefore shoot at the interceptor (see sequence of play on p.24 and first paragraph of Firing Phase on p.48 for example, as well as p.32).
