We are now playing our first battle and have some new questions:
Page 38, last right bullet.” A unit can turn to face in any direction but otherwise remains stationary and in the same formation”. Even in extended line or march column? A large unit in extended line that makes a 90º changes of face has its corner bases moving (in 28mm) 24 cm (6MU) forward and backward. A unit in march column pivots in the middle, which seem really odd , instead of wheeling it front base to the side and follow with the rest of the column.
page 42 Disordered units must past A CMT to “Intercept an enemy assault move without expending a Command point” .Don’t you need to spend a command point to pass the CMT?
A large infantry unit in extended line is assaulted frontally by a large cavalry in one rank covering roughly all his front. After the CT the infantry unit stand and fires. Does it fires as two units i.e with 16 dices! (Plus in our case +2 for an artillery attachment, and 3 for flank support: an artillery and infantry unit for a total of 21)
Self support ,a large unit can support himself forming a deeper tactical formation, (page 57) does them gain an additional dice and his opponents lost one dice in combat?
Pass through. A steady cavalry unit in contact with an infantry unit, after combat, pass through it and them makes a move (D6+2). I assume that it will hit any enemy unit behind the original infantry unit. So that’s a new assault, If that second unit is also infantry: t must it make a CT if not in square, lost a cohesion level if the cavalry (after being placed behind the original infantry unit) start moving less that 2MU away, and finally can it make defensive fire ?
Thanks in advance

Don't forget the bullet point stating: "After reforming, a unit must remain the same distance from the nearest enemy", which may mean some sliding to accomodate this.A large unit in extended line that makes a 90º changes of face has its corner bases moving (in 28mm) 24 cm (6MU) forward and backward.
If the unit was moving forwards then it would wheel on its front base. However, you are not wheeling - you are reforming, and it's the individual battalions within the footprint are changing their facing.A unit in march column pivots in the middle, which seem really odd , instead of wheeling it front base to the side and follow with the rest of the column.
Yes. This needs to be added to the errata. The bullet point on page 42 shold read:page 42 Disordered units must past A CMT to “Intercept an enemy assault move without expending a Command point” .Don’t you need to spend a command point to pass the CMT?
"Intercept an enemy assault move BY expending a Command Point......."
Yes ... except that your maths is wrong:A large infantry unit in extended line is assaulted frontally by a large cavalry in one rank covering roughly all his front. After the CT the infantry unit stand and fires. Does it fires as two units i.e with 16 dices! (Plus in our case +2 for an artillery attachment, and 3 for flank support: an artillery and infantry unit for a total of 21)
Large unit at close range = 6 dice
Artillery attachment = +2 dice
They don't support each other as well as firing (unless you're counting additional units to the side).
so total dice is 14, which is quite a bit less than the 21 dice you make it ..... although still bad enough!
Yes - but remember that it only fights with the dice of a small unit when in deep formation.Self support ,a large unit can support himself forming a deeper tactical formation, (page 57) does them gain an additional dice and his opponents lost one dice in combat?

"Enemy units contacted during the first half of a pursuit move cannot make a reaction move, nor may they fire."
and if contacted after half of the puruit move:
"the new enemy contacted may make any normal reaction move but may not fire"
Re: More questions
Thanks, that’s all by now. But as I’m going to assault a village occupied by the French, with my Hanoverian division I fear I will have soon some questions about buildings….
