Assuming that terrain doesn't change in the final version...

A normal size piece must be able to fit a 4x6in rectangle within it's permiter and it must entirely fit within a 12in dia circle. The 4x6 restriction means no "baguette hills" - a favourite DBM feature - or micro features.

A large (i.e. double) size piece must be able to fit a 4x6in rectangle within it's perimiter. Its footprint cannot be entirely fitted within a 12in dia circle, but must entirely fit within a 16in dia circle - i.e. between 12 & 16in max size.

If using metric then 1in = 25mm. Terrain size is identicle for 15mm and 25mm.

Terrain is graded into 5 grades:
  • Clear
  • Uneven (open fields, broken ground)
  • Rough (brush, enclosed field, plantation/orchard, gully)
  • Difficult(forest, vineyard, marsh, soft sand, village, steep hill)
  • Impassable (very steep hill, quarry, Oxford Circus London at rush hour)
Hope this helps
Neil
