Allied/friendly units controlled by AI

I was wondering if it is possible to have some friendly units that are not controlled by the player. I would like to be able to view their actions and FOV and also at some point via scripting make them controllable by the player.

I was looking into the sides property (trying to set 3 sides instead of the normal 2) or with the teams. But I am not sure how to make the AI control them and if they know on which side they are. Any suggestions on where to start looking or am I asking too much? :wink:

It's not possible currently - the system doesn't support it I am afraid. I will add it to the wishlist!
