Progress not saved

After the 2.04 patch I deleted my my games/BBCBA folder to delete my progress, but now the game doesn't seem to save the progress. Whenever I exit the game, I have only the tutorial campaign unlocked. I also get the first start message every time and all buttons but campaign are greyed out all the time. The achievements of the tutorial missions are saved, though.

This is probably related to the crash on exit that is currently happening on some machines. This is caused by the server message about the new update. Sorry for the inconvenience. The message will disappear in a few days.

The problem persists even after the latest update. Just doesn't save campaign progress.

Have you tried deleting the BBCBA folder again? It could be a permissions problem. I can't think why achievements would save correctly though.

Yes, I did. It also creates the whole my games/BBCBA directory and as I said achievements are saved.
I solved the problem though, by changing the Campaign value in options.txt to "1" instead of "0". That unlocked the Western Desert campaign and now after I completed first Western Desert mission all campaigns are unlocked.
NOW it also correctly saves the campaign progress and the Campaigns value has been changed to "3" by the game...
so I assume the problem was that this value wasn't changed even though I completed the tutorial campaign. I don't really get why I am the only one with this problem, though.
