Berlin Redux etc

Post by AgentTBC »

Just finished up the DLC Campaign. It was loads of fun and provided many, many hours of gameplay. But the later scenarios really do start to creak under the weight of the prestige system which is clearly meant for a much shorter series of battle. I played the entire campaign on Rommel where you get 50% prestige and still had a brutally strong and veteran core which managed a decisive victory on turn 13 out of 40 in Berlin Redux.

Great fun, as I said, and I enjoyed it a lot but I do hope Slitherine comes up with a way to keep the later scenarios in long campaigns more balanced and interesting. Each successive year of the campaign became slightly more stale and play-by-numbers as the core force became overwhelmingly powerful. So hopefully the devs find a way to freshen up the system a little, maybe with some kind of point cap where you can't just plop down 14 Tiger IIs and 10 ME262s or whatever.

Anyway, who beat 13 turns DV in Berlin Redux on Rommel or higher difficulty? I'm wondering what the record is. I could see cutting maybe one more turn off that number but if you get much under it, well, you're a better general than I am 'cause I just don't see it.
