Too many games toooooooo many games

Post by MrsWargamer »

It's reached a point where I have to finally say ENOUGH stop screaming for my attention, would ya all please shut up :)

That was aimed at my computer and the stash of board games to my right.

Look you darned games, I like other things too you know. I haven't read a book in months, my models, well not recently, and I have almost forgotten I even have non wargames around here I might like to try.

The survey was taken, and the verdict, Battle Academy, Panzer Corps, Team Assault, the rest of you, hmmm we will need to lay you off for a while.

There ARE so many good games out there, but the day is actually not infinite, (although it seems like it when you have work to do I suppose).

Ah for my youth, when a new wargame was something that happened about once every 3 years. And you could actually wear out a game before moving on.

I don't know who is buying all the new homes in town (considering everyone from Alert down to Mexico is crying the blues about recession). But they are still being built. And I often wonder how many wargamers really exist. How is it our industry never seems to have trouble justifying yet another game beating the same narrow slice of choices to death all because it is a different developer/publisher take on the topic? If I had a dollar for every version of game representing the war in the east electronic or paper version, I'd be able to buy yet another wargame (that I would also not be able to find time to play :)).

Rant ends here :) Go back to your life now hehe.
