What about standards for a forum?

Post by flakfernrohr »

Seems there is a piece of unstable ground on the forum called gentlemanly and proper personal behaviour at times. I am speaking of a someone who has insulted damned near all of us at least once, never misses a chance to belittle anything done by any of us, never assists or offers up any material that is "personally his", does not grasp the fundamentals of constructive criticism, takes offense when none is handed his way, is selfish and greedy to the point of ludicacrous absurdity and now is "warned", been banned before and still he is allowed to come back begging and groveling for attention and offering up things he would never have given to anyone before in a fit of sycopanic behaviour. I apologize to the rest of you for my rant and losing my temper. I am a difficult person to get angry, but this behaviour and the continued allowance for this to continue is just a slap in my face and I take it personally. I guess that's my problem, but it damned sure is.

I love Panzer Corps and I love playing with the mods and talking and sharing with all of you, but this bad seed is spoiling it for me. I am sick and tired of leeches that slide on the floor back into the tolerant good graces of this forum.

This individual is the only fragmentation on this entire damned forum.

I doubt this posting will remain long on the forum, because they will probably remove it for the content. But I don't give a damn, I had to vent this to all the good and decent guys who give their time, hearts and efforts for the betterment of this game and abhor this kind of bad conduct continuously displayed and the attitude thrown around by this particular individual.

I'm not going to elaborate about the cause that led me to consider to leave the forum and delete all my threads. But after thinking it over thoroughly i decided not to because i like you guys too much.

Thank you my friends. I consider everyone here but this one person a friend, truly. And I respect everyone else's work and efforts. I give freely of anything I can do or any help I can offer regardless of my modding limitations and low level gaming skills.

nikivdd: don't leave here. Please. Who'll get me out of a fix, as you and von paulus have done for me.

I don't make mods but I do read and use some of your great work, thanks again.

Flak: I could echo your post without changing a word. Thanks to you also.

Nikivdd - I think the modders got frustrated because their work is not being acknowledge as it should.
(...)
Few years ago,I re-discovered Panzer General thanks to the mods made in the early 2000s'. So don't let the present stuff to divert you attention from a goal, which is creating the great stuff for the present and future generation of players.

Edited due to the unrelated content.

Maybe you are right - there are so many loosely related, intermingling threads, that it's even difficult to remember where you are  I've just tried to encourage Nikivdd here.

I guess the work of a moderator is not an easy one :D

It would really be a pity if you leave. You do not only contribute a lot in modding, you're also one of the most helpful guys here if it comes to helping others with editor issues or moddings probs in general.

So whatever it is/was please don't do anything in a hurry - just take a deep breath... ;)

Same goes for Airborne btw, after I read his msg in the other thread.

Heck,yeah...there must be a TOS (Terms Of Service) to which everybody has to agree with on signing up. With little local differences these TOS are mostly the same around all boards. Iam sure Iam not the only one who is active on various boards but over here I am getting the impression that the TOS is not enforced consecuently enough...

Mongo, I hoped you would cool down a bit (I know the feeling too). When a person cares about something with passion and dedication as we all do for Panzer Corps, it is natural to get worked up when you feel something negative against it. We all share this feeling from that source. Of course difficulties such as we encounter are settled more easily face to face, LOL.

There is a group of friends here from practically all over the world and together we have done (and continue to do) some enjoyable things and give back to other friends, many of whom remain silent and only visit us. It's a worthwhile feeling and it's good to know that I have friends I have never met in person who share the same passion for one thing, standards of decency and comradeship.

The more i read of the source of this conversation I fully understand the level of frustration taken in by all you guys i have had help, kindness, and wonderful mods,skins,etc.etc. from all of you on here except the source of this conversation:) dont let it deter what you guys bring to this great game, because without men like you it wouldnt be where it is today.
