Flak towers, etc.
Massi Destruction making the excellent sub bases got me to thinking. Some time ago we were kindly given two versions of German Flak towers. A small and a large. I made a mask for the small tower but was unable to make one for the large Flak Tower. I have not used either of these units in a game, but I was curious to know if anyone has done so and if they have, what variables do a person put in for this type of fortification? For strongpoints and Forts for that matter as well?
And about Mortar Teams. We have numerous Mortar Unit Icons, all very good. They all require a nearby Infantry Icon or something to protect them, right?

Old Timer Panzer General fan. Maybe a Volksturm soldier now. Did they let Volksturm drive Panzers?
Re: Flak towers, etc.
good question..in fact the big flak bunkers in Hamburg and Berlin have been prooven to be indestructable with current explosives...
One bunker in Hamburg remains 100% intact and its locations have been rented to artists and art related companys and one of the Berlin Flakbunkers..well..truckloads of allied engeneers tried to blow it up with very modest success..in fact the couldnt even blow up part of the building...so this tower got burried under earth, material and whatever and there is a little hill with a park today
the building underneah remains intact so as do hundreds of bunkers under Berlin
As for the game..I would use very very high GD and CD but only (-1),(-1) SA and HA...while using 8,8 flak Air attack value
In fact there have been 3 different types of Flak Towers. In Wien there is another pair of type three

I add a current phot of the Hamburg Flak Tower. Its an awesome building somehow

This is the one I use. (Can't remember where I got it - if you know, please LMK to give proper credit)

The problem, if it is a problem, with this version is that it doesn't have the same aspect as other fortifications - perhaps someone with more skill than I have can rotate it? As for stats, mine are purely arbitrary and have a very high AD, GD and AA.

You know you can use the sticky Mods...
It belings to NetWolf55's units:
viewtopic.php?p=288274
IMO, it doesn't look well over the map, in terms of graphical balance. It seems too much intrusive.
