I cannot login. I have a friend that also cannot login. We have had spotty logins all day and wondering if this is a permanent thing or just a temporary thing. If it is to be like this, will there be an IP option in the works for those that rather go direct?

Hi welcome.
This is not usual, so whatever it might happening is only temporary.
There will be no alternative to PBEM+, no dedicated servers support, if that's what you are asking. The system works well.

While we are on the subject, I believe the Panzer General Forver mod maker worked on this game. His servers seem to be down for the past 10+ days. Is it down for good?

Alex not only have worked but his the key figure of the whole Panzer Corps project.
He checks this forum, but he might not look into this thread.
