Flanquers of the guard?

Post by CutEmUp »

Should these be classed the same as the Young guard in the place out scenario? Avg-drilled-guard-light IMF?

First of all the "flanqueurs -chasseurs" are part of the young guard in the corps of the "chasseurs à pied" , so they should be "light infantry"
But the flanqueurs --grenadiers are part of the young gard in the corps of the "grenadiers à pied" so my guess is ...as line infantry but who knows for sure .
Corps des Grenadiers à pied : Grenadiers à pied ( OG )+ Fusilliers à pied ( MG ) + YG tirailleurs-grenadiers, YG conscrits-grenadiers, YG tirailleurs, YG Flanqueurs-grenadiers, vétérans ( those are OG )
Corps des Chasseurs à pied : Chasseurs à pied ( OG ),Fusilliers-chasseurs ( MG ) + YG for the rest Tirailleurs Chasseurs, Conscrits Chasseurs, voltigeurs, Flanqueurs Chasseurs, Garde Nationaux ( also YG )

Hope it helps

I built a 650 pt list based on the six days....basically had to go mixed divisions to make it fit - I'm hoping it works for the new book:
Napoleon - exceptional charismatic
Friant - competent
Old guard x 4 - sup/vet/guard
Old guard x 4 - sup/vet/guard
Polish lancers - avg/vet/guard
Heavy art x2 - avg/vet/guard
Michel - competent
Fusiliers gren & Chasseurs x 4 - avg vet guard
Flanquers gren & Chasseurs x4 - avg/drilled/LI/ gd
Red Lancers x3 - avg/vet/guard

Its pretty lean, but they are bad ass troops and I love small elite force s that can maneuver

Bit heavy on the Guard lancers?

In rough numbers they were only 25% of the total Guard cavalry of Grenadiers, Dragoons, Lancers and Chasseurs.

A unit of Chasseurs with an attachment of horse artillery maybe?

Reexamining my OOB for montmirial and the Dutch lancers don't seem to be present, so the Chasseurs would be a better fit, but only Skirmishers would fit in at 650.....
